Tide Alumni defenders shine in AFC East showdown
In a game of potential 'lasts' between the Jets and Patriots with uncertainties surrounding Bill Belichick and Mac Jones' futures the defenders were the bright spot. Quinnen Williams and the Jets were victorious as Williams recorded three tackles and two sacks. On the losing side, Christian Barmore continued his dominant season with ten tackles, two of which were for a loss. Anfernee Jennings added seven tackles with three for a loss while Mack Wilson had three tackles and half of a sack.
Vintage King Henry performance as the King says goodbye?
The Tennessee Titans came into Sunday looking to play spoiler to the Jaguars in their season finale. They did just that as the Alabama Football legend Derrick Henry rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Alabama Football alumni Calvin Ridley will miss the playoffs however, in his first season back from a suspension for gambling Ridley recorded a 1,000-yard receiving season with Eight touchdowns. Henry ended the game by addressing Titans fans and saying goodbye to the Tennessee faithful.
Jordan Battle impresses and AJ McCarron plays against Browns
While the Cleveland Browns sat many of their starters like Alabama Football alumni Amari Cooper thanks to having a postseason spot locked up the Bengals were playing for pride. The Bengals won the game and have to be impressed with Jordan Battle's rookie season. The former Alabama Football player recorded four tackles, two for a loss, a sack, an interception, and two pass breakups. The rookie went on a tear in the final stretch of the season and will be a piece for the Bengals in seasons to come. Also making an appearance in this game was former Alabama Football quarterback AJ McCarron who went 3/4 passing for 20 yards.
