No college football expert goes into more depth than Phil Steele. His latest annual compendium is no exception. Steele picks four teams of All-Americans. Alabama Football is well represented with two First Team players, three Second Team players, and one Fourth Team player.

Thirty-two SEC football players were selected. Among SEC football teams, only Georgia has more than the Alabama Crimson Tide. Steele named a total of seven Georgia Bulldogs.

Texas and Ole Miss are the only SEC teams with more than two selections. The Longhorns and the Rebels have three each. LSU, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Florida, and Tennessee had two players selected. For Auburn, South Carolina, and Missouri, only one player made one of Steele's All-American teams.

Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt had no players selected.

Every SEC fanbase can ask, but "what about x player" who is perceived to be better than the ones chosen by Phi Steele. For Alabama football fans, the exclusion of Jaeden Roberts stands out. But Steele's preseason choices are sound and every player has a chance to prove Steele wrong during the season.
