The Alabama Football program has its next great quarterback as Five-Star quarterback Julian Sayin has signed his letter of intent to play for the Crimson Tide. This comes as no surprise as Sayin joined the team for its Rose Bowl practices Saturday and has been locked in with Alabama for a long time.

Sayin will spend next season sitting behind Jalen Milroe with a chance to develop and start for Alabama in the 2025 season. Sayin was the 21st overall recruit according to 24/7 sports rankings and the third-ranked quarterback. Sayin is the second-best recruit in the Alabama recruiting class behind his future weapon Ryan Williams.

While the signing gives Alabama Football it's quarterback of the future it means we likely say goodbye to a quarterback or two to the transfer portal. Ty Simpson is the most likely candidate as he's talented enough to earn a starting job as soon as next season for a power five school. Dylan Lonergan is also a transfer candidate although, it may be less likely considering he's also a part of the Alabama Baseball program.

Julian Sayin will have an opportunity to place himself among recent legends like Bryce Young and Tua Tagovailoa. He'll have most likely two seasons as the Alabama Starter to potentially win a national championship and possibly a Heisman in his time at the Capstone.

Alabama Football: Top Quarterback Destination

The days of defense-heavy SEC Football are long behind us and in return, the Alabama Football program has become one of the top destinations for Quarterbacks despite having a defensive-minded head coach. Alabama has landed many of the top Quarterback recruits in recent years signing Bryce Young, Ty Simpson, Eli Holstein, Jalen Milroe, and Tua Tagovailoa. It'll be interesting to see who Julian Sayin's offensive coordinator is when it's his turn to start for Alabama as Tommy Rees may be one more successful season away from a Head Coaching Job.
