Alabama Football players on 2024 NFL Rosters
The 2024 NFL season kicks off on Thursday and the Alabama Football remains very well represented in the league.
The Crimson Tide had 10 players drafted into the NFL in the 2024 draft, and plenty of stalwarts saw massive contract extensions. In fact, former Alabama Football players signed over a billion-dollars in new contracts/extensions this offseason.
Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa finally got his extension as he looks to continue his ascent toward the ranks of elite QB’s in the league.
On Wednesday, former Tide CB Pat Surtain II signed the richest deal in NFL history for a cornerback, inking a deal worth $96 million.
We saw some player movement this offseason too for former Bama stars. 2015 Heisman winner Derrick Henry departed Nashville for Baltimore, joining a Ravens team that hopes he’s the missing piece to a Super Bowl puzzle.
Fellow former RB Josh Jacobs left Las Vegas and signed with the up-and-coming Green Bay Packers, which are on the shortlist of Super Bowl contenders.
WR Jerry Jeudy was traded to the Browns from the Broncos, where he joins a receiver room that features another former Alabama great in Amari Cooper.
There’s plenty of storylines to follow in the NFL this season for former Alabama players. How will Bryce Young fare in his second season with the Panthers? Have they put enough around him to allow him to thrive, or is he in for another long season in Carolina?
Will Mac Jones spend the season backing up Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville, or was his preseason performance impressive enough that we could see a QB needy team trade for the former first round pick?
Will Jameson Williams ascend to the upper echelon of receivers in 2024, building off an impressive NFC Championship Game performance against the 49ers last season?
How will the new crop of rookies fare? JC Latham, Dallas Turner, and Terrion Arnold are the latest crop of Crimson Tide first round NFL draft picks looking to make an instant impact at the next level.
We’ll follow all of these storylines here at Bama Hammer all year long and keep you up-to-date on their performances.
For now, below is a list of all the former Crimson Tide players that are on active 53-man rosters to begin the 2024 season. In all, Alabama has 62 former players on active rosters, not including three who begin the season on the IR, or the four additional players listed on practice squads.
