On campus for Junior Day was also a handful of players in the 2026 recruiting class whom we're still a while away from seeing commit and even sign. Of those players, one of the names to watch is Michael Ionata the brother of Joseph Ionata a 2024 signee. Zelus Hicks is one of the top safeties out of Georgia and played with Alabama Signee Caleb Odom and plays with Alabama target Juju Lewis. Jakeem Stewart was the biggest name of the 2026 recruits on campus, ranked as 24/7 Sports third overall prospect Stewart is the top defensive lineman in his class and would be a massive get for Kalen DeBoer.
On the theme of family ties the Alabama Football program added another Moore this weekend. Ayden Moore the younger brother of Malachi will be joining the Alabama Football program as a preferred walk-on. Ayden is an unranked edge rusher in the 2024 recruiting class but, hopefully, we see him develop as a player with a chance to take the field with his brother.
Alabama Football: 2025 Class will heavily weigh the opinion of DeBoer
The 2025 recruiting class will heavily determine how well the DeBoer era and the new staff are received. Landing a player as well known as Ryan Williams was certainly a great start for DeBoer but, continuing to land top-tier talent will only help his status across the country. The state of Alabama is loaded with top-tier elite talent in the 2025 recruiting class and Kalen DeBoer will need to get off to a hot start on the recruiting trail and keep some of the talent in the state. For now, the storyline to follow is which quarterback DeBoer and his staff are able to pick off, with most of the position's top players already committed to programs.
