Coach Nick Saban and Alabama Football tend to finish strong on the recruiting trail, and the 2024 cycle could bring more of the same. With the early national signing period rapidly approaching, there are several moves Saban could make to add to Bama’s 2024 class.

One day before signing day, the Crimson Tide’s class sits firmly in the top five nationally. Headlined by 5-star quarterback Julian Sayin, this has long been one of Coach Saban’s most underrated hauls. It is a group that is loaded with athleticism and defensive versatility, though the individual rankings may not be eye-popping.

There is still plenty of room for Alabama Football to add some starpower in this 2024 class. In many ways, the drama has already started. Last week, 5-star wide receiver Ryan Williams reclassified from 2025 to 2024, and could be an instant-impact offensive weapon for the Tide.

Williams will come in alongside Sayin and fellow receivers Amari Jefferson and Rico Scott, as well as flex tight end Caleb Odom. This is already a lot of high-caliber skill position talent for a class that still looks to add at least one running back.

At running back, Bama is in play for 4-star Daniel Hill, 3-star Jadan Baugh, and 4-star Miami commit Kevin Riley.

Alabama Football: Coach Saban stockpiling defensive talent

On Monday, Coach Saban and company earned a commitment from 4-star edge rusher Jayshawn Ross

Ross joins a solid front-seven haul that includes a pair of in-state interior defensive linemen in 4-star Jeremiah Beaman and 3-star Isaia Faga. The group also includes a quartet of rangy linebackers in Sterling Dixon, Justin Okoronkwo, Cayden Jones, and QB Reese.

If the Crimson Tide can flip 5-star defensive lineman Eddrick Hill from Ohio State, it would certainly add some punch to Bama’s front seven.

It might be a stretch for Alabama Football to land the no. 1 overall class, but it is certainly within the realm of possibility as this cycle winds down. I wouldn’t count out the GOAT pulling off some surprises.
