While the chaos of Early Signing Day has died down, there's still plenty of recruiting going on as the Alabama Football team deals with departures. Two players will commit this weekend with 24/7 sports crystal balling both players to commit to the Alabama Football team. Running Back Daniel Hill and Defensive back Zavier Mincey will commit on Saturday at the All-American Bowl.

Daniel Hill is ranked as the sixth-best running back in the country and the 128th-ranked player overall. Hill will be deciding between Alabama Football, Mississippi State, and South Carolina. Both South Carolina and Alabama have seemed in the lead for Daniel Hill at different points throughout the recruitment. Despite this seeming like a battle between South Carolina and Alabama Football Mississippi State has been a front-runner the entire way as his father Demetrius Hill played defensive line for the Bulldogs.

Hill would be a great addition to a loaded running back room for the Alabama Football team entering the 2024 season. The Alabama Football team has returnees in Justice Haynes, Jam Miller, and Richard Young among other running backs while the team signed Kevin Riley and may lose Jase McClellan to the transfer portal after losing Roydell Williams on Friday. If Hill signs with the Alabama Football team it's impossible to see a world in which he plays much in 2024 with Justice Haynes and Jam Miller poised for bigger roles with the departure of Williams. Hill is uber-talented and would be a valuable piece for Alabama Football in the future but, I believe he will end up at Mississippi State where he may get on the field sooner.

Zavier Mincey on the other hand would fill a massive need for the Alabama Football team and would be a massive get for Nick Saban. Mincey is the sixth-ranked safety in the country and the 71st-ranked player overall via 24/7 sports. Mincey has been long rumored to stay in Florida with either the Gators, Hurricanes, or Seminoles with Alabama Football as a finalist throughout the process. A late push by Nick Saban and the Alabama Football coaches has seemingly flipped Mincey towards Alabama. Landing Mincey would help the Alabama Football team with its needs in the secondary especially in 2025 when the team will seemingly lose Malachi Moore and Jaylen Key if he returns for 2024.

Alabama Football: Chasing the top ranking

The Alabama Football team very well could catch Georgia for the top recruiting class in the country especially if they land Mincey and Hill. It would be difficult as plenty of the Nation's top recruits already signed with programs but, it's still possible. College Football has become a constant cycle of chasing the number one, whether it's in recruiting, AP Polls, College Football Playoff rankings, even transfer rankings, and fans are obsessed with being No. 1. Any and every leaderboard that offers a high ranking provides fans with hope.
