Alabama Football vs. USF: Final Odds and Predictions
It's gameday for Alabama Football as they take on USF on Saturday night at 6pm CST on ESPN. The Crimson Tide hope to show the Bulls who they are after a struggling, lifeless 17-3 win over the American Athletic Conference foe a year ago in a rain-soaked Tampa, Florida.
Alabama opened the season with a 63-0 win over Western Kentucky, easily doubling the 31-point spread set by Vegas oddsmakers. USF enters the game 1-0 as well coming off of a 48-3 win over FCS Bethune-Cookman in week one. South Florida finished last season 7-6 and are looking to build off of that in Alex Golesh's 2nd season in Tampa.

Line: Alabama -30.5
Over/Under: 64.5
The oddsmakers feel the same about Alabama this week against USF as they did last week when the Tide faced Western Kentucky. Most books had the Crimson Tide at right around 31-point favorites over the Hilltoppers, a number Alabama had more than taken care of by halftime last Saturday night.
Alabama was 34.5 point favorites over USF last season in Tampa, a number that was never really threatened. While the outcome of this game should never really be in doubt, it remains to be seen whether the Tide can cover a more than four-touchdown spread.
Final Prediction
I think Alabama has a point to prove tonight. You've heard how dialed in and serious guys like Jihaad Campbell are taking this game. They are taking it as disrespect that USF was able to make the game competitive last season. I don't see that happening again.
As I wrote on Friday, I expect Jalen Milroe to have a big game. I have a feeling this game has been circled on his calendar all offsason long after he was benched against the Bulls last season and had to watch his teammates struggle to pull away. He's here this time, and his big day is going to allow the Crimson Tide to jump on USF early and not let up as Alabama cruises to a big victory before heading to Madison next weekend.
