Marquee college football matchups like Alabama vs. Georgia brings out a number of high-profile visitors, but with the news last week that former President, and current Republican nominee, Donald Trump would be attending the game, heightened security was to be expected.

On Thursday, the University of Alabama released updated guidelines for entry to the stadium, encouraging fans to arrive early.

The University is telling fans to arrive no later than 5pm CT for the 6:30pm kickoff, but are opening the gates as early as 4pm.

The release compares the security measures to going through TSA at the airport. Fans will have to remove all items from their pockets, any jewlery, buttons, and pins as they walk through. The clear bag policy that is in place for every home games will obviously still in place.

The only difference with the airport and Bryant-Denny on Saturday night is, according to the release, you'll get to keep your shoes and belt on.

The former President last attended an Alabama home football game in 2019 for the highly anticipated matchup between the undefeated Crimson Tide and undefeated LSU. It was the first time a sitting President had attended a UA home game.
