Could 2024-25 be the most difficult Alabama Basketball schedule ever?

The 2024-25 Alabama Basketball season could result in Bama having the No. 1 SOS again. It could almost become the Tide's most difficult schedule ever.

The Alabama Basketball 2024-25 schedule currently includes 30 games. Except for a third game in the November, Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas, all 30 opponents are known.

The Alabama Crimson Tide finished the 2023-24 season with college basketball's No. 1 Strength of Schedule (SOS). By comparison, NCAA Tournament winner, UConn won its back-to-back championship with the No. 8 SOS. Next season, Alabama's SOS could become No. 1 again and perhaps be even tougher than last season.

Nate Oats is not only unafraid of tough competition, he is willing to absorb some losses as necessary building blocks to late-season success. The Crimson Tide lost 11 games last season and still advanced to the 2024 Final Four.

Based on the current Alabama Crimson Tide 2024-25 schedule, at least 19, of the 30 games will be against 2024 NCAA Tournament teams. Alabama's to-be-determined, third game in the Las Vegas tournament could make the number 20.
