As college football settles down with roster movement, it is interesting to consider how oddsmakers rate the Alabama Crimson Tide. Though games are still months away, there are some early point spreads for most games in the Alabama Football 2024 season.

The DraftKings Sportsbook has seven Crimson Tide games posted. Alabama is favored in five of the seven. Using DraftKings and other sources, the Crimson Tide is a 3.5 to 4.5-point underdog to Georgia in Tuscaloosa. Going back to Nick Saban's second season with the Crimson Tide, Georgia has eight losses to Alabama. In the same span, the Bulldogs have one win, though it was a big one, for the 2021 National Championship. Georgia should be the 2024 favorite, but the tight spread makes the game close to a tossup.

LSU is also a slight favorite over the Crimson Tide, ranging from one point to 2.5 points. Tiger Stadium is probably worth four points, so the spread suggests Alabama is viewed as the slightly better team, except for a crazed home crowd for the Bengal Tigers.

Alabama is favored in four SEC road games and also on the road against Wisconsin. The biggest of the road spreads favoring the Crimson Tide is 7.5 points over Wisconsin. The Crimson Tide is a two-point favorite over Tennessee in Knoxville and a 1.5-point road favorite over Oklahoma in Norman. The fourth road game that will have Bama favored is Vanderbilt, but no spread has been posted yet for the October game.

Alabama Crimson Tide favored by more than two touchdowns over Auburn

The other two Alabama games with posted spreads have the Crimson Tide favored by 8.5 points over Missouri and by 15 points over Auburn, with both games in Bryant-Denny.

There are no posted spreads for the Bama home games versus Western Kentucky, South Florida, South Carolina, and Mercer.

The point spreads may change significantly between now and the games, but so far, the projections have the Alabama Crimson Tide in some nail-biters.
