Final Alabama Football Game-by-Game prediction for 2024 regular season
By Ronald Evans
A couple of days ago, while discussing expectations for success in the 2024 Alabama Football regular season, I admitted my head (and not my heart) says the Crimson Tide will go 10-2. Across the college football world, most pundits, if asked which side of 10-2 is most likely for Alabama, would pick 9-3, rather than 11-1. A few naysayers I suggest should be ignored, predict 8-4.
At 10-2, a Playoff spot should be secured. It is possible, 9-3 would also be good enough. Either way, my focus is on how good the Alabama Crimson Tide will become in November, December, and January. My strong sense is - very good, as a top contender to win it all.
I will not be surprised if Alabama is 11-1 in the regular season. Too much change in offensive and defensive systems and too few players without enough game experience indicates that Georgia will be too much for the Crimson Tide in September. My prediction is a Georgia win, but not by much. There is not a clear indication of where a second Alabama loss will come. Predicting two losses is based on a hunch that the schedule is just too tough. One subpar performance will cause a second loss.
