Five Alabama football areas worth a close A-Day look
A new style Alabama Football A-Day will provide indications of the Crimson Tide's progress under Kalen DeBoer and his staff.

- Replacing Will Reichard is no small task. In the previous spring scrimmages, Conor Talty has performed well. In the most recent scrimmage, he made every field-goal attempt. What has been asked about Talty is whether his leg is strong enough for 50-plus-yard field goal attempts. Some Alabama football insiders have said one or more walk-on kickers might earn kickoff duties. It would be great to see Talty nail a 50-yarder on Saturday and allay the concerns of Alabama fans.
Less than 72 hours after A-Day, the spring Transfer Portal opens. Writing for CBS, Chris Hummer described the number of new transfer exits in college football to potentially be "seismic." Some of them will be Alabama players. Balanced against new exits will be new Crimson Tide additions.
Chris Hummer predicted the Alabama Crimson Tide will be very active in the spring transfer market. Other have hinted that one or more big-time players are very interested in joining Kalen DeBoer in Tuscaloosa. A oouple of eventful weeks may lie ahead.
