Out of Madison comes a five-part recipe for Wisconsin to bake a win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. Madison's Daily Cardinal has in-depth knowledge of the Badgers, which provides special insight into how Saturday's game might go.

According to the Daily Cardinal, Wisconsin's number one key is to "epitomize" Phil Longo's Air Raid offense. Longo's Air Raid is less pass-heavy than traditional Air Raid offenses. Last season at Wisconsin, Longo's Air Raid was heavily dependent on rushing yards. With the addition of Miami transfer, Tyler Van Dyke at quarterback, Wisconsin fans have expected Longo will adjust to added focus on passing yards. So far this season, results have been mixed. Van Dyke's completion rate is only 60.3%, tied for No. 80 among FBS QBs. Making worse for Wisconsin is Van Dyke's production has come against defensive backfields without SEC-quality athletes (Western Michigan and FCS South Dakota). Expecting Longo's Air Raid to suddenly blossom against the Alabama Crimson Tide secondary is ambitious.

Perhaps realizing Wisconsin's Air Raid may not consistently produce against Kane Wommack's defense, the Daily Cardinal says Luke Fickell must be a risk-taker in the key. That key to success for the Badgers is probably correct, but the gamble of being a risk-taker can backfire. Casting aside too much caution could turn an Alabama double-digit win into a blowout win.
