How Alabama Football players fared at the 2024 Combine
Terrion Arnold - Cornerback
The traditional drill portion of the combine wasn't all that impressive for Arnold but, they certainly won't hurt his draft stock running a 4.50 forty-yard dash, a 10"9 Broad jump, and a 37" inch vertical. The on-field drills are where Arnold shined the brightest showing his athleticism and fluidness also showing his play speed is much more impressive than his traits show.
The expected draft range for Arnold starts around the 12th pick while he could easily end up as the first corner selected or end up drafted in the 20's.
JC Latham - Tackle
While opting out of a few portions of the NFL Combine like the forty-yard dash JC Latham still impressed. The tackle has appeared to slim down weighing 342 pounds, much lower than his listed 360 pounds during his playing time at Alabama. In the field drills, Latham looked impressive as he looks to continue to build towards ranking as the top tackle in the draft.
This year's draft gives no clear front-runner for the first offensive tackle off the board this early in the process. An impressive showing at Alabama's pro day could result in Latham landing himself inside the top ten while his draft floor appears to be the 20th pick.
Chris Braswell - Edge Rusher
The other Alabama Edge Rusher in this year's draft class Chris Braswell hasn't garnered as much buzz as Dallas Turner however he's still in contention for a first-round selection. Braswell participated in both sections of the combine running a 4.6 40-yard dash, with a 33.5" vertical jump, and a 9' 7" broad jump.
Projecting where Braswell lands in the NFL Draft is difficult as it'll likely depend on how many edge rushers go early on in this year's draft. Braswell's rare athleticism could see him shock many with where he lands in the draft while only having one year of film may be a detractor to some teams.
