How many All-Americans for Alabama Football in 2024?

I am of the belief that Alabama has one of the best running back rooms in college football, headlined by Jam Miller and Justice Haynes. Individually, this pair has All-American talent, Haynes in particular. I think they are long shots to make an All-American team, mostly because they will be splitting carries, but either one could have a breakout season.

Washington transfer Germie Bernard is expected to be Bama’s top receiver this fall. He will have to exceed all expectations to become an All-American, but it is certainly in the cards. Rome Odunze’s numbers as the top receiver in the Huskies’ offense last year make Bernard’s prospects a little more promising. 

Quandarrius Robinson enters his fifth season in the program, and has never put up numbers even remotely resembling those of an All-American. However, he is a veteran player who has flashed pass-rushing potential in the past. The redshirt senior will be the top dog at a position at which Alabama has produced a first-team All American in three straight seasons. If he can be the sack leader for a national championship contender, Robinson has a fair chance at earning All-American status. 

The Alabama defensive line is one of the deepest position groups on the roster. I don’t know that it can produce an All-American given how much it will likely rotate, but the talent is there. Tim Keenan III was highly productive from his nose guard spot last year and would probably be my top choice, but fellow veteran Tim Smith could also be primed for a breakout season. 

Alabama’s All-American tradition won’t end under Kalen DeBoer. In fact, Bama could very well have 2024 All-Americans that were brought to Tuscaloosa by Coach Saban and others that were brought in by Coach DeBoer. While I’m not sure if Bama will match the number of All-Americans it had in 2023, it is almost certain to be represented in some capacity on the 2024 All-American teams.
