Justice Haynes and Jam Miller need more touches for Alabama Football going forward

If Alabama Football wants to be as dynamic as possible on offense, then the running back duo of Justice Haynes and Jam Miller will need to be more involved in gameplan.

As we move on to Vanderbilt week one point remains the same for me and that is both Justice Haynes and Jam Miller need more touches every week. I couldn't believe the lack of touches both running backs got in the second half as the Tide were looking to speed up the clock during Georgia's comeback effort.

The fact that Haynes and Miller had a combined 11 touches is mind boggling to me and until they start getting more consistent touches, this offense will continue to be bogged down at times every game.

I get when you have a dynamic running quarterback in Jalen Milroe it changes the aspect of how the running game looks, but this offense would be at an elite level if running the ball became more of a focus of the offensive game plan. I

know this offensive staff can put together a game plan with plenty of focus on the running game as seen last season with Dillon Johnson at Washington. As explosive as that passing game was with Michael Penix there was only three games all season where his touches were under 10 and he was a huge reason the Huskies made it to the National Championship game last season.

The offensive line has been very good in pass protection since the USF game, and I would think opening up holes for these two backs would be an even easier task. Only one time this season has either of these backs touched the ball more than ten times and I would have to think that isn't a recipe for success especially on the road in places like Knoxville, Baton Rouge, and Norman.

As much faith as the coaches and Jalen have in Ryan Williams you would think there would be the same faith in this dynamic running back duo. It will be interesting to see if we see more touches for Jam and Justice in Nashville this week.
