On Monday, the excitement and enthusiasm of Alabama football fans were shared by the Crimson Tide's coaching leaders. Anticipation and optimism about the 2025 Crimson Tide were evident in Monday's post-practice review.

Game Week at Alabama is different in many ways, not the least of which is that Nick Sheridan and Kane Wommack conducted media sessions. Both of Alabama's Coordinators spoke before Kalen DeBoer.

As expected, Monday did not include an official Depth Chart. When asked about a right tackle starter, Nick Sheridan praised Wilkin Formby and Elijah Pruitt but said a starter would not be identified until Saturday. The Coordinators deferred to the boss when asked about injuries. Kalen DeBoer stated that Jaeden Roberts and Jam Miller will practice this week and will play on Saturday. He also said linebacker Jeremiah Alexander is close to a return from injury but is not expected to play against Western Kentucky.

Kane Wommack was complimentary of Tyson Helton's Western Kentucky offense, calling it one of college football's best., adding that WKU "will challenge us schematically." Wommack was highly complimentary of the leadership and work ethic Malachi Moore and Deontae Lawson have shown in Fall Camp and added the same type of contribution was also coming from Michigan transfer Keon Sabb. Talking about the deep talent at the Wolf position, Wommack confirmed that in certain situations, the Alabama football defense will have two Wolves on the field at the same time.

Wommack may have tipped his hand that DeShawn Jones will start at cornerback, along with Domani Jackson. He complimented the progress Jones has made since his transfer from Wake Forest, specifically talking about how much Jones has changed his body in a short period. As Wommack has for months; he also praised the Crimson Tide's freshman defensive backs.

Alabama assistant Colin Hitschler will be the only defensive assistant in the booth during games. Alabama OC, Nick Sheridan will call the offensive plays from the booth.

Kalen DeBoer displayed quiet confidence, citing the "high level of energy and focus" the team has maintained throughout Fall Camp. DeBoer added that consistency and attention to detail have been good in the preseason. Asked about how much his offense will be different from what it was at Washington, DeBoer did not give away any secrets. He did say the team is "very balanced across skill positions."
