New On300 Recruit Rankings show big gap between Alabama Football and Auburn

On Monday On3 published its On300 Player Rankings for the 2025 class. In the updated rankings, Alabama Football has 15 of its 21 verbal commits in the top 300 of player rankings. More impressive is that Alabama has 13 commits ranked inside the top 126 of the On300.

Before Monday On3 had awarded 5-star status to just 15 recruits in the 2025 class. Two of the 15 were Alabama commits; Ty Haywood (OT) and Michael Carroll (IOL). On3 now has 18 designated 5-stars. In the later stages of the 2025 recruiting cycle, On3 will have 32 5-stars. The Alabama Crimson Tide commits, ranked by On3 from No. 19 to No. 32 are identified below as future 5-stars.

The On300 update left the Alabama Crimson Tide with the No. 2, 2025 class in the On3 Industry Team Rankings. Ohio State's current No. 1 class is only slightly ahead of Alabama. The other SEC teams are listed below.

There is an important distinction to be made between Auburn's No. 5 Overall 2025 class and Alabama's No. 2 class. Based on the On300 update, the Crimson Tide has 10 top 100 players, with eight in the top 50. The Auburn Tigers have just three, and only one in the top 50.
