Kalen DeBoer joined the set of College GameDay live from Tuscaloosa this morning, sitting next to his legendary predecessor, Nick Saban.

The two coaches were asked about the transition period between Saban's retirement in January and DeBoer's hiring less than 72-hours later.

The two coaches seem to get along swimmingly, with Saban consistently being complimentary of how DeBoer has handled things and how he has put his stamp on the program right away.

DeBoer talked about meeting with the team and dealing with all the questions the team had about him and how different things might be now that the greatest coach in the history of the sport had walked away from the game.

Saban had a hilarious comment on how he made it easier for DeBoer during the transition based on his fiery style and how DeBoer is more of a laid-back guy:

It's clear the two coaches have a lot of mutual respect fo one another, and it's a good sign for Alabama moving forward that DeBoer has the Saban seal of approval so far.

Next. Georgia imitating Alabama. Georgia's imitation flattering, but Alabama is still Alabama. dark
