The very next season, Alabama once again proved to be on a different tier than their semifinal opponent. After taking a 7-0 lead, Washington couldn’t move the ball the rest of the game and finished with less than 200 total yards.
Jalen Hurts only threw for 57 yards for the run-first Bama offense, but Bo Scarbrough ran the ball 19 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
