Ranking every Alabama College Football Playoff game of the four-team era
Michigan knocked out Alabama in the Rose Bowl to end the Crimson Tide's storied run of dominance over the four-team CFP era, but where does it rank among the best games in Alabama CFP history?

9. 2019 National Championship: No. 2 Clemson 44 No. 1 Alabama 16
The fact that it was for the national championship elevates this game above some of the others, but it wasn’t a particularly compelling on-field product. The first quarter ended with Clemson ahead 14-13 and Alabama kicked a field goal to take the lead 16-14 at the start of the second, but Trevor Lawrence outdueled Tua Tagovailoa from that point on.
Lawrence finished 20/32 for 347 yards and three touchdowns while Tua went 22/34 for 295 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.
