player. 57. Eddie Jackson. Round: 4 Pick: 112. Eddie Jackson, S. Eddie Jackson, S. . . 2017. 7

Eddie Jackson hasn’t had an outstanding career, but for a fourth-round pick, Chicago got an excellent return on investment. Across his first three seasons in the NFL, Jackson recorded 10 interceptions and scored three defensive touchdowns. He was named a Pro Bowler in both 2018 and 2019 and a first-team All-Pro safety in 2018.

Jackson got a lucrative contract to stay with Chicago but has regressed, playing just 12 games in each of the past two seasons (2022-23). While he still finished 2022 with four interceptions, Jackson is less dynamic with the ball in his hands and is no longer considered to be one of the top safeties in the NFL.

There is no way that Jackson is one of the 10 best NFL players that Nick Saban ever produced, but getting an All-Pro safety in the fourth round is outstanding value.
