Recapping another weekend of visits for Alabama with possible commitments nearing
2026 Campers continue to impress and earn offers
Most of the attention in these recruiting weekends is on the 2025 recruits as they're the next to sign but, thus far Alabama has had solid showings with their recruiting camps. Last weekend, the Tide hosted top in-state recruit five-star Anthony Jones as the Tide battle Auburn to keep Jones at home.
This weekend, the Alabama Football team picked up a crystal ball prediction for top in-state receiver Cederian Morgan from 24/7 Sports. After an impressive showing at recruiting camp, Morgan got offered by Alabama and there's seemingly a lot of interest on both sides.
The Tide hosted 2026 four-star wide receiver Donovan Murph on another visit this weekend. The recruit took to social media sharing pictures from the weekend while revealing that Michael Penix Jr was in town and whether it was to see his old coach or to help with recruiting having a top-ten pick on campus doesn't hurt.
Also on campus were in-state four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson, four-star lineman Felix Ojo, four-star linebacker Jakore Smith, and the class's top linebacker Xavier Griffin.
Who commits to Alabama next?
After the first weekend of official visits this summer, Alabama picked up crystal balls to land Keelon Russell and Chuck McDonald before landing both this week. This weekend the Crimson Tide picked up crystal balls to land four-star linebacker Dawson Merritt, four-star interior lineman Michael Carroll, and three-star offensive lineman Mal Waldrep.
