As we enter Week 0 of the College Football season I am most excited about the Alabama offense being electric again in 2024. The last couple of years with Bill O'Brien and then Tommy Reese calling plays have been frustrating. Talent hasn't been used as it should have been, to the point that many feel the Alabama WR room has fallen off. Neither OC knew how to consistently use the talent correctly. It will be refreshing to see the offense rolling again in 2024. Kalen Deboer and his staff have an offensive mindset that will allow the Alabama WRs to be great. Opening up the offense will help Jalen Milroe to gain confidence and excel in his second season as the starter in Tuscaloosa.

The offensive play calling will be functional again and the Tide will play to their strengths consistently, which hasn't been done since Sark was the OC. Deboer, Sheridan, and Shepard will open up the playbook and the play calling will stop being so predictable. We saw what Washington became with Deboer running the show, and we also saw what Indiana was when he was the OC before Penix got hurt. There are plenty of talented WRs who need to be put in the right position to unlock their potential and this is the staff to do it. Germie Bernard, Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice, Freshman Phenom Ryan Williams, Emmanuel Henderson, and others will be put in positions to win.

The scoreboard operators will be busy in Tuscaloosa this year and this will be what we've been missing since the last Crimson Tide National Title run. The running back room is strong, the WR room is strong, and the offensive line will be much improved over last year, especially to start the season. Even against lesser teams over the last couple of years, there was a sense something was missing from the offense. That feeling isn't there anymore and no matter what happens record-wise this season, this offense will be special and fun to watch. It will be refreshing to see the offense be a strength of this Alabama football team.
