Offensive Tackle and Center

The Alabama Football team will be tasked with replacing both of their starting offensive tackles as JC Latham entered the NFL Draft while Kadyn Proctor transferred to Iowa. The team certainly didn't expect to have to replace the True Freshman Proctor but, the position has a few capable players already on the roster. The Alabama Football team will also have to replace its center after Seth McLaughlin transferred to Ohio State

The Locks: Parker Brailsford and Elijah Pritchett

Alabama has all but filled the hole at Center with the addition of former Washington center Parker Brailsford. Brailsford grades out as one of the top centers in college football and he will start the season at center barring a disastrous camp. Filling one of the openings at Offensive tackle will certainly be Elijah Pritchett. Pritchett saw significant playing time spelling Kadyn Proctor in games where Proctor struggled or dealt with injuries. Elijah Pritchett will likely begin the season as one of the team's starting tackles the question will be which side of the line he lands on.

Others in the mix: Miles McVay, Naquil Betrand, Roq Montgomery, and James Brockermeyer

The final remaining tackle spot will in all likelihood be a battle between returning tackle Miles McVay and Texas A&M transfer Naquil Betrand. McVay will enter his Sophomore season with high expectations as a former four-star recruit with loads of potential. Betrand on the other hand is more of a long-term project of a player when the team added him in the transfer portal due to a lack of tackle prospects in this year's signing class. McVay should win this camp battle but, Betrand could find himself in the competition if he takes a jump this Spring.

The only center from within the program is James Brockermeyer who has a slim chance to unseat Brailsford but, his name is certainly worth mentioning. The same goes for Roq Montgomery who has a massive weight advantage on Brockermeyer and was rumored to be moving to center. If either is to unseat Brailsford during the season it would be Montgomery if Brailsford struggles with the size of SEC Defensive linemen.
