Three Alabama football players that could make jumps to the NFL after 2024
Alabama Football sends draft eligible juniors to the NFL every season, and that should be no different under Kalen DeBoer. Players like redshirt junior quarterback Jalen Milroe and junior guard Tyler Booker are widely expected to be in next year’s draft, but Bama could have several more juniors declare after breakout 2024 seasons.
Running back Jam Miller is primed for a huge season in the Alabama offense. Many believe that sophomore Justice Haynes will prove to be the best player in the Crimson Tide backfield, but there should be enough touches for both backs to produce big numbers. While Haynes will be back in Tuscaloosa in 2025, it wouldn’t be all too surprising if Jam Miller turned in a 1,000-yard season and declared for the draft.
Wide receiver Germie Bernard transferred to Alabama from Washington and could very well be Milroe’s top target this fall. If he has a big year, Bernard could follow in the one-and-done footsteps of former Bama receiver Jameson Williams.
It would be awesome to see Bernard have this type of season, but it’s probably unlikely. This is an Alabama offense that is built to establish the run first and foremost. While the passing game can still be prolific, it will be tough for Bernard to put up eye-popping numbers with Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice, and the tight ends also taking up targets. Still, Germie Bernard has the talent to capitalize if the opportunity presents itself.
Linebacker Jihaad Campbell was one of the best players on the Alabama defense in 2023, finishing with 66 tackles, an interception, and two fumble recoveries. A rangy, ball-hawking linebacker with elite instincts and sideline-to-sideline speed, Campbell is a prototype for the NFL game. If both can stay healthy, he and Deontae Lawson will continue to make each other better playing alongside one another. If the Bama defense reaches its peak, both could be NFL Draft entrants next spring.
