Week 4 of college football might be short on upsets, but every week favorites lose straight up. There are no easy 'Bold' picks this week and the spread in each predicted upset game is small.

Last week's Bold Upset Prediction record was 1-2. The result should have been 2-1, but South Carolina had to overcome LSU and the SEC officiating crew. The Gamecocks came close anyway, losing to LSU, 36-33. The one correct upset pick last week was Memphis knocking off Florida State. The Noles were favored by 6.5 points and Memphis won by eight in Tallahassee.

Week 4 Bold Upset Predictions

  • Baylor Bears (2-1) at Colorado Buffaloes (2-1) - Sat. 7:00 PM CST at Folsom Field in Boulder - Both coaches need a win, but Dave Aranda probably needs one most. Colorado is favored by 1.5 points. Baylor has had turnover problems and is unsettled at quarterback. Colorado must be prepared for DeQuan Finn who passed for over 2,600 yards at Toledo last season and is also a running threat. Aranda's other QB option is former Mississippi State Bulldog, Sawyer Robertson. Robertson completed 75% of his passes last week in a Baylor win over Air Force. The Buffs will likely have two defensive linemen out again, and possibly a top running back. The upset pick is Baylor, barely squeezing by the Buffs.
