  • Toledo Rockets (3-0) at Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (2-1) - Sat. 6:00 PM CST - The Rockets, fresh off beating Mississippi State last week, are favored by 2.5 points. Toledo's passing attack, led by Tucker Gleason has been effective. Not to be missed is that despite the Toledo buzz, WKU's TJ Finley has been a more accurate passer than Gleason. The Hilltoppers should also have a defensive advantage. Statistically, WKU's stats are diminished from being destroyed by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Toledo's are inflated from wins over Duquesne and UMass. UMass has the No. 129 Scoring Offense at 13.3 points, but the Minutemen scored 23 points in a loss to Toledo. The Bold Upset pick is WKU moves to 3-1 and Toledo drops from the list of college football's undefeated teams.
  • Arkansas Razorbacks (2-1) at Auburn (2-1) - Sat. 2:30 PM CST - The Tigers are favored by 3.5 points. Hugh Freeze is facing an almost must-win, because after playing the Hogs Auburn has Oklahoma, Georgia, and Missouri in a four-week run. Every game is a must-win for Sam Pittman. Bobby Petrino may be saving Pittman's job with a revamped offense. The Hogs are good at running the ball and good at stopping the run. Auburn's offense is boosted by new QB starter, Hank Brown, but Brown has only attempted 39 passes in his two-season college career. Neither team is above average in pass defense, but if the Hogs can get pressure on Brown, Arkansas can pull off the upset. The Bold Upset pick is Arkansas wins sparking a Hugh Freeze slide that will lead to an October hot seat in Auburn.
