  • Ole Miss Rebels (4-1) at South Carolina Gamecocks (3-1) Sat. 2:30 PM CST - After losing to Kentucky at home last weekend, Ole Miss has a must-win game. The Rebels are favored by a whopping 9.5 points. The spread is reasonable, given the Ole Miss roster is clearly stronger than South Carolina's. Protecting Jaxson Dart was a problem for Ole Miss last week. It will be again from a strong South Carolina pass rush. The Gamecocks are some competent officiating short of being undefeated. LSU was gifted a win over them in Week 3. Ole Miss should win, but the Bold Upset Prediction is a Gamecock win.
  • UCF Golden Knights (3-1) at Florida Gators (2-2) Sat. 6:45 PM CST - UCF is hoping to stake a claim as the second-best team in the state of Florida. UCF has three unimpressive wins to go along with last week's loss to Colorado, in which they were soundly beaten. UCF is favored by 2.5 points in The Swamp. If UCF wins, Billy Napier could be unemployed by Monday. My take is the must-win for Napier causes his team to rally for him and knock off UCF. Another mild Bold Upset Prediction is the Gators win (and it might not be close).
  • Syracuse Orange (3-1) at UNLV Rebels (4-0) Fri. 8:00 PM CST - This pick comes from Greg McElroy. I am not sure I agree with GMac. His reasoning is Cuse QB, Kyle McCord (Ohio State transfer) and the Syracuse wide receivers will be too much for a suspect UNLV secondary. McElroy describes his pick as a "slight lean" in favor of Syracuse. I'll not take credit for this upset pick, but it is bold, with UNLV favored by 6.5 points.

That's it for Week 6. I would have loved picking Iowa over Ohio State and Arkansas over Tennessee, but in each case, the call would not have been bold, but crazy.
