  • No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies (0-1) - Previous Ranking No. 8. Against Notre Dame, the Aggies were missing an offense. Both A&M QB, Conner Weigman and new head coach, Mike Elko are taking lots of heat from Texas A&M fans. Weigman completed only 12 of 30 passes in the 23-13 loss to Notre Dame. Next up for the Aggies is McNeese State in College Station.
  • No. 9 Auburn Tigers (1-0) - Previous Ranking No. 11. The Tigers beat a bad Alabama A&M team 73-0. Payton Thorne, with better receivers on the Auburn roster, looked like maybe the SEC's 'not worst' quarterback. Next up for Auburn are the Cal Bears at Jordan-Hare.
  • No. 8 LSU Bengal Tigers (0-1) - Previous Ranking No. 6. For the third straight season, LSU and Brian Kelly opened with a loss. USC beat the Bengal Tigers 27 - 20 in Las Vegas. LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier was impressive and the LSU defense has improved over last season. Next up for LSU is Nicholls State in Baton Rouge.
  • No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) - Previous Ranking No. 9. The Sooners walloped Temple 51-3, barely providing a reason for a rankings boost. Next up for Oklahoma is Houston in Norman.
