Week 3 SEC Football Power Rankings
Note: The rankings are highly subjective, personal opinion, and nothing more. They are a current snapshot and do not predict future success or failure of any team.
- No. 16 - Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-2) Lost to Toledo 41-17; next up, Florida in Starkville, with it looking like the Gators will be led by an interim head coach.
- No. 15 - Florida Gators (1-2) Lost to Texas A&M 33-20; next up is likely an early week Napier exit, then a Saturday battle of the SEC bottom-dwellers.
- No. 14 - Vanderbilt Commodores (2-1) The Dores came back late on Georgia State to take a lead, only to lose it in the game's final seconds. It was a disappointing 36-32 road loss for Vandy. Next up is, at Missouri.
- No. 13 - Auburn Tigers (2-1) The Tigers have a new QB and Auburn fans are filled with optimism. Saturday's 45-19 win over New Mexico did not seem to excite anyone else, including Hugh Freeze. Next up is Arkansas in Jordan-Hare.
- No. 11 (tie) - Texas A&M Aggies (2-1) and Arkansas Razorbacks (2-1) - A&M beating the Gators meant little. Arkansas beat a mediocre UAB team 37-27. Next up for the Aggies is Bowling Green in College Station. The Razorbacks travel to Auburn.
