- No. 4 - Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) - The Bulldogs should be and will be better than No. 4, but did not show it Saturday night in Lexington. No doubt an injured Tate Ratledge was a factor. Next for the Bulldogs is an open date.
- No. 3 - Tennessee Vols (3-0) - The Vols are legit very good on offense and more than a little improved on defense. Destroying Kent State 71-0 proved nothing. Next up for Tennessee is Oklahoma in Norman.
- No. 2 - Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) - But 'Pawl Alabama ain't played nobody' is about right for the early 2024 season. Still, it can be said the Crimson Tide is ahead of schedule after the offensive line performance against Wisconsin. Next up is a Crimson Tide open date.
- No. 1 - Texas Longhorns (3-0) - Quinn Ewers may miss Saturday's ULM game. Arch Manning was impressive in relief against UTSA. In less than three full quarters, Manning threw four touchdown passes and ran 67 yards for another touchdown. Next up, ULM will be sacrificed in Austin.
