  • No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies (1-1) - Last week No. 10. The Aggies came back from their loss to Notre Dame by beating McNeese State, 52-10. With Notre Dame losing in South Bend to Northern Illinois, Texas A&M fans (along with me) don't know what to expect from the Aggies. Next up for A&M is Florida in Gainesville, in a must-win game for both teams.
  • No. 9 Arkansas Razorbacks (1-1) - Last week No. 14. The Hogs playing in Stillwater should have beaten No. 13 ranked Oklahoma State. Losing in overtime, Arkansas turnovers and mental errors gave the game to OSU. Take away the too many miscues and Arkansas was the better team. Next up for Arkansas is UAB in Fayetteville.
  • No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners (2-0) - Last week No. 7. The Sooners beat Houston (0-2) 16-12. Ryan Aber, writing for The Oklahoman pulled no punches saying Oklahoma "deserved to lose." Even Oklahoma coach, Brent Venables said his team deserved to lose. Next up for the Sooners is a home game against Tulane.
  • No. 7 LSU Bengal Tigers (1-1) - Last week No. 8. LSU beat Nicholls State 44-21. Garrett Nussmeier was impressive again, throwing for 303 yards. But the LSU rushing attack was unimpressive. Giving up 21 points to Nicholls says the LSU defense still has serious problems. Next up for LSU is away to South Carolina.
  • No. 6 Missouri Tigers (2-0) - The Tigers got another cupcake win, beating Buffalo, 38-0. So far the weak schedule has proved little. Next up is No. 24 Boston College in Columbia.
