Why the Alabama Football team will be better in 2024
Experienced Quarterback play
Heading into last season, Alabama had serious concerns in its quarterback room, with no clear-cut favorite to land the job. Jalen Milroe's lack of experience reared its ugly head in the Texas game with Milroe throwing a pair of costly interceptions. Tyler Buchner would start the following week at South Florida before being relieved by Ty Simpson, with the duo passing a combined 10-23 for 107 yards.
As the season progressed, Jalen Milroe took clear steps forward and became a weapon both passing and running the ball. It wasn't until the sixth game that Milroe seriously proved himself as a passer with what may have been his most impressive performance against Texas A&M.
Now, heading into the 2024 season, Milroe will have an entire year of experience under his belt and will have a full off-season of starting reps to go along with it. An offensive-minded Head Coach in Kalen DeBoer will have a full season's worth of tape to dissect and help Jalen Milroe improve, similar to the way he elevated Michael Penix Jr.
