SEC Power Rankings Week 1
1) LSU Bengal Tigers (1-0) - For at least one game, LSU appears to have a defense. Beating Clemson in Clemson meant Brian Kelly's team is the current SEC Top Dog.
2) Texas Longhorns (0-1) - Yes, Arch was not very impressive, though he made a big-time throw when the Horns had to have one. Losing by a touchdown, on the road, to the defending National Champion is only a slight blemish.
3) Georgia Bulldogs (1-0) - A home win over Marshall is not a big resume builder, but the Dawgs took care of business.
4) Tennessee Vols (1-0) - Joey Aguilar played well with three TD passes, showing the Heupel offense has the QB it needs.
5) South Carolina Gamecocks (1-0) - The Gamecocks overcame sacks and tackles for a loss, largely because LaNorris Sellers is so special. Beamer Ball could go a long way this season.
6) Ole Miss Rebels (1-0) - A cupcake opponent taints the 63-7 win.
7) Florida Gators (1-0) - The Gators did cupcake one better than the Rebels, with nothing to brag about in beating Long Island University.
