8) Texas A&M Aggies (1-0) - With Marcel Reed, Mario Craver, and KC Concepcion, the Aggies were explosive. The downside was that the Aggies' defense gave up 177 rushing yards to UTSA's Robert Henry Jr.
9) Auburn Tigers (1-0) - The Tigers got a good road win, but for Auburn and Baylor, the defenses are suspect.
10) Missouri Tigers (1-0) The Tigers won big, but against Central Arkansas, less than a big win would have been a failure.
11) Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) - Oklahoma was without a couple of offensive linemen, but beating an FCS team, Illinois State, 31-3, was not very impressive.
12) Vanderbilt Commodores (1-0) - The Dores winning 45-3 should always boost a Vandy resume, but not much with the opponent having been Charleston Southern.
13) Alabama (0-1) - The least said about the Alabama Crimson Tide the better.
14) Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-0) - Except for MSU fans, an uninspiring win over lowly USM does not move the needle.
15) Arkansas Razorbacks (1-0) - A win; but the Hogs' win over Alabama A&M makes the Mississippi State win look better.
16) Kentucky Wildcats (1-0) - Beating the Toledo Rockets 24-16 did nothing to change the Cats' status as the SEC's worst team.
