There's a short list of moments Alabama fans remember with ridiculously loud crowd pops inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The long touchdown pass from Brodie Croyle to Tyrone Prothro on the first play from scrimmage against Florida in 2005, Terrence Cody's "Rocky Block" against Tennessee in 2009, Jonathan Allen's fumble return touchdown vs. Texas A&M in 2016, Trevon Diggs' fumble return touchdown for 100 yards against Tennessee in 2019, and Ryan Williams' catch-and-run touchdown against Georgia a year ago, among many, many others.
You can add Zabien Brown's 99-yard pick-six as the clock expired in the first half against Tennessee on Saturday to that list.
Leading 16-7 with time running out in the first half, Tennessee was poised to punch in a touchdown and cut the Crimson Tide's lead to just two points going into the locker room, seizing the momentum of the game.
Instead, a poor pass by Vols QB Joey Aguilar was undercut by Brown, who then returned it 99 yards for a touchdown to give Alabama a 23-7 lead.
Bryant-Denny absolutely erupted:

Zabien Brown's pick-six changed the game entirely for Alabama
It's hard to understate just how pivotal a play Brown's pick-six was in the game. A touchdown there by the Vols and Alabama's lead is only two points at halftime, and Tennessee comes out of the locker room brimming with confidence. They might have taken an early lead in the third quarter, too, as Alabama's offense quickly went three-and-out to open the quarter, which Tennessee followed up with a touchdown. Instead of taking the lead, however, it only cut Alabama's lead to 10.
If Brown doesn't make that play, it's a totally different football game. Alabama would have been in for a complete 60-minute dogfight. Instead, the Crimson Tide ended up with a mostly anxiety-free second half. Tennessee never cut the lead to within one score from there.
The sophomore CB has arguably been Alabama's best and most consistent player this season. While Domani Jackson has taken lumps, and freshman CB Dijon Lee has had some growing pains, Brown has been the constant for Alabama at corner. There's a reason Jackson and Lee get picked on so much; teams don't want to test Brown.
Because when they do, he's liable to make game-changing plays like he did on Saturday night. Bryant-Denny Stadium came to life with a crowd pop that will always be remembered, on a play that will go down in history in the Third Saturday in October.
