The Jalen Milroe I know has returned to Alabama

After the Tennessee game I had a lot of questions about the Alabama quarterback, but after the win Saturday night I can confidently say the Jalen Milroe I know is back. I am not sure what was going on with Jalen, but his happiness on game day has returned and he was electric in Baton Rouge. This team can only go as far as Milroe can take them, and if he continues to perform like he did Saturday night it could be a long distance.

For a second straight year he used his legs to embarrass an LSU defense rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns. He was tentative to run against Tennesse and still looked unsure of himself against Missouri. Whatever was bothering him clearly is behind him as he left the LSU players in the dust on several occasions. His confidence his back, he's smiling on the sideline again, and most importantly he had another game with no turnovers.

After seeing how well Texas A&M ran against this Tigers team two weeks ago, we all knew Jalen could have a field day even on the road if he wanted to. Not only did he want to but wanted to make a statement for himself and this team. His highlight performance in this playoff elimination game is the true definition of LANK, and now the Crimson Tide find themselves in a good spot with three games remaining in November. Jalen Milroe is the catalyst of this success, and everyone fed off his energy Saturday night.

This coaching staff did a great job of letting Jalen know they trusted him, even when he was going through it on the field, and now that is playing dividends. This is the quarterback the Alabama faithful expected to see all season and I am confident he is ready to lead this team to the 12-team playoff. There is a lot of business to still handle, but a two loss Alabama team won't get left out of this year's field.
