Five 'Forget About It' SEC teams

It is early to be completely writing off any team, except maybe Arkansas and South Carolina Still, it is difficult to see the potential of enough improvement in five teams that would put then in contention for a regular season championship.

  • Texas Longhorns (14-4 and 1-4) Average ranking No. 46 (46.4) and NCAA Bubble team
  • Oklahoma Sooners (11-7 and 0-5) Average ranking No. 47 (47.2) and maybe an NCAA Bubble team
  • Arkansas Razorbacks (10-8 and 0-5) Average ranking No. 59 (59.2)
  • LSU Bengal Tigers (12-6 and 1-4) Average ranking No. 68 (67.8)
  • South Carolina Gamecocks (10-8 and 1-4) Average ranking No. 87 (87.2)

Though the last five will struggle against the SEC's top teams, each of them is capable of a home game upset or two before the end of the season.
