Another week is in the books, and Alabama football players made their marks in the NFL during Week 5, as usual.

From the best throws, dynamic runs, big-time catches, monstrous hits and blocks, and all there is in between, we'll highlight the best players of the week made by former Tide stars in the NFL every single week here at Bama Hammer.

The top plays made by Alabama players in the NFL in Week 5

Mac Jones throws a touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey

Mac Jones keeps balling out when the 49ers call on him. After spending Week 4 on the bench with Brock Purdy healthy enough, Jones stepped back in for the Niners on Thursday Night Football with Purdy out again. He played at a high level again, leading San Francisco to a key divisional win over the Rams, in part due to plays like this:

Jones is now 3-0 in his starts with the 49ers. There's probably not a genuine QB controversy in the Bay Area, but Jones is certainly making things interesting.

Minkah Fitzpatrick picks off Bryce Young

It's always an odd feeling when there's "Bama on Bama" crime. On one hand, it's always nice to see Minkah Fitzpatrick making a play, but it's not as fun seeing him make a play at Bryce Young's expense.

Fitzpatrick is back in his second tour of duty with Miami, and he made his first interception of the year on an overthrown football by Young. The Dolphins broke out to a 17-0 lead, but it was Young and the Panthers who ultimately had the last laugh.

Bryce Young drops a couple of dimes to begin the Panthers comeback

A couple of early turnovers by Young had the Panthers in a familiar 17-0 hole early against the Miami Dolphins. But Young didn't lose confidence and began making plays to begin the Carolina comeback.

First, he converted a key 4th down near midfield with a familiar "Alabama Bryce" play. He scrambled to keep a play alive and then, as he was about to get popped, delivered a strike to Tetairoa McMillan to move the chains:

Young finished the drive with an absolute dot of a throw to Xavier Legette for a touchdown:

The Panthers overcame the early 17-0 deficit for a 27-24 come-from-behind victory.

Tua Tagovailoa hits Jaylen Waddle for a deep touchdown

There wasn't a better game in the NFL on Sunday than Carolina and Miami. It was a ton of fun to watch for Alabama fans with two of the program's best QBs - Tua Tagovailoa and Bryce Young - going head-to-head for the first time.

Young got the last laugh, but Tagovailoa threw a beautiful touchdown pass to Jaylen Waddle in the fourth quarter to give Miami the lead before Young led the eventual game-winning drive:

Kool-Aid McKinstry picks off two passes

What's one interception without another? Kool-Aid McKinstry picked off Jaxson Dart not once, but twice on Sunday in the Saints' win over the Giants. It was the first two interceptions of Kool-Aid's young career.

Jahmyr Gibbs barrels his way into the endzone

Leading 14-3 in the third quarter, Jahmyr Gibbs had a spectacular catch-and-run for a touchdown to give the Lions a three-score edge over the Bengals. He made the catch on a little screen pass, made a couple of men miss like he always does, and then lowered his shoulder at the goal line to bully his way into the endzone:
