All four of Alabama's draft-eligible players have now signed as free agents after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Mark Sears was the first, signing a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. With the Bucks' cap situation and lack of young talent, Sears might have a legitimate shot at making the NBA roster.
The other three have less clear paths. Grant Nelson, Cliff Omoruyi, and Chris Youngblood have signed Exhibit 10 deals and will get an opportunity in Summer League and Training Camp to impress enough to earn two-way contracts.
Nelson signed with the Brooklyn Nets shortly after Sears found a home in Milwaukee. Nelson surprisingly didn't earn a two-way deal, however, instead slotting in with a less-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract.
On Friday, both Omoruyi and Youngblood signed. Omoruyi will join the Toronto Raptors, and Youngblood the NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nelson probably has the best chance of actually earning a two-way contract. Omoruyi and Youngblood seem destined to make a decision between playing in the NBA G-League or pursuing professional opportunities overseas.
The NBA's Summer League tips off on July 10th and runs for just over two weeks in Las Vegas. All four former Tide players will likely participate. They will likely be joined by several other former Alabama players.
Kira Lewis recently accepted an invite for Summer League with the Miami Heat. Lewis is a former lottery pick but has struggled to break through at the next level, partially due to a torn ACL a couple of years ago that slowed him down.
While it hasn't been announced yet, you can expect Jaden Shackelford, Alex Reese, and Aaron Estrada to also make their way to Las Vegas as well.
What is an Exhibit 10 contract in the NBA?
An Exhibit 10 contract differs from a two-way contract. While Sears' two-way contract carries a certain guarantee, there's nothing guaranteed about an Exhibit 10 deal.
An Exhibit 10 deal pays the league minimum and is completely non-guaranteed. It allows NBA teams to bring players into Summer League or Training Camp, but they can be cut and/or waived at any time with no penalty.
If a player plays well enough on an Exhibit 10 deal, it could get converted into a two-way (likely) or standard (rare) NBA contract. A decision has to be made on whether to convert the contract or cut the player by the start of the regular season.
