Top 5 performances for Alabama football players in the NFL in Week 15

We are in the stretch run of the 2024-25 NFL season and plenty of Alabama football players continue to standout and help in the playoff push for their teams.

For the 99th week in a row, at least one former Alabama football player found the endzone in an NFL game. Next week, that streak will reach triple digits.

It's hard to believe we are in the final stretch of the regular season. Week 15 is in the books and there are just three weeks to go as teams jockey for playoff positioning.

It was, unsurprisingly, another big week for the Crimson Tide in the NFL. As always, there are plenty of guys who just barely miss the cut that deserve acknowledgment. Perhaps most unexpectedly here is Jonah Williams, who scored his first career touchdown on a fumble recovery in the endzone for the Cardinals.

Patrick Surtain intercepted a pass and Will Anderson and Daron Payne each picked up sacks this week but just missed the cut.

Top 5 Alabama Football players in the NFL in Week 15:

5. Jerry Jeudy

Jerry Jeudy has enjoyed a career year in Cleveland in his first season with the Browns since being traded in the offseason from the Broncos. After an 11-catch, 108-yard day on Sunday, Jeudy has now gone over the 1000-yard mark for the first time in his NFL career.

Jeudy is now 5th in the NFL in receiving yards. Imagine what he might do if he ever gets paired with an above-average quarterback. It's saying something that this stretch with Jameis Winston has been the best QB Jeudy has played with in his five seasons in the league.

4. Henry To'oTo'o

It's hard not to root for the Texans if you're an Alabama fan with John Metchie, Will Anderson, Henry To'oTo'o, and Christian Harris all on a roster coached by former Alabama All-American LB DeMeco Ryans.

Anderson has had a big year and his sack on Sunday gives him double digits for the season. But it was To'oTo'o who took a starring role for the Houston defense in a win over the Dolphins that clinched a second consecutive trip to the postseason for the Texans.

To'oTo'o led the way with 11 tackles, half a sack, and a forced fumble in the Houston win.

3. DeVonta Smith

DeVonta Smith had his best game of the season on Sunday against the Steelers, and for the first time this season, he put up a 100-yard receiving game.

Smitty caught 11 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown as Philadelphia defeated Pittsburgh and moved into a first-place tie with the Lions atop the NFC.

As much as I like Jalen Hurts, I do hope that one day Smith finds himself playing in a passing offense that will allow him to really shine. As things stand, he might be the most underrated receiver in the NFL.

2. Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs continues putting the Green Bay offense on his back. He carried the ball 26 times for 94 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 30-13 win over the Seahawks. He also caught four passes for 42 yards.

Jacobs is third in the NFL in rushing yards now at 1147 yards. He has the third most carries in the league and is fourth in rushing touchdowns.

1. Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts has continued to hear a lot of criticism despite just winning football games. Last week it was that he wasn't being effective enough as a passer.

Against the Steelers, Hurts flexed his ability as a passer and threw for 290 yards on 25/32 passing with two touchdowns. He added a rushing touchdown and 45 yards on the ground. Hurts couldn't help talking a little smack to the media in the postgame, either:

Hurts has led the Eagles to a 12-2 record and with the Detroit loss they're now tied atop the NFC as they look to get home-field advantage and a first-round bye.
