Tyler Booker was in Pittsburgh on Thursday night to pay Ty Simpson back for what he did a year ago.
Simpson was in the green room in 2025 to support Booker and LB Jihaad Campbell as they entered into their own NFL Draft journeys. Booker and Simpson arrived at Alabama in the same recruiting class and have been close ever since.
So it only made sense that Booker would be there to support his Alabama teammates on Thursday night, with both Simpson and Kadyn Proctor realizing their dreams and getting selected with back-to-back picks to the Miami Dolphins at 12 and the Los Angeles Rams at 13, respectively.
And it was his moment with Simpson, his former roommate, that caught the attention of Alabama fans after the former Tide QB was stunningly selected by the Rams:

The video starts with some normal, congratulatory handshakes and hugs between Simpson and his family. And then you get to the 33-second mark, and it's pure energy and emotion with Booker and Simpson celebrating the moment and the monstrous Booker embracing Simpson with a massive bear hug.
Bama Psi Phi is alive and well with the new generation of Alabama football players
It won't be the same as it was during the Nick Saban era in terms of results on the field, but the brotherhood of Alabama football isn't going anywhere, anytime soon.
Booker showing up for his former teammates is proof of it. Bama Psi Phi is just different.
Alabama players supporting one another at the NFL Draft goes back a long way. I still remember Julio Jones staying in the green room after getting picked 6th overall in the 2011 draft by the Falcons to wait out the ride with Mark Ingram. Ingram fell to late in the first round to No. 28 overall to the Saints, and Jones was there with him the whole time.
Booker and Proctor likely would have done the same for Simpson on Thursday night, but he didn't ultimately have the wait that so many predicted.
