Alabama football faces off against LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday night in one of the biggest games of the weekend in college football. It's a playoff elimination game in Baton Rouge with both teams trying to keep hopes alive for at least another week.

Alabama was ranked No. 11 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings, which put it squarely in the 12-team field. If the Crimson Tide wins out, it will make the playoff. The path is clear.

With such an important game this weekend, it should come as no surprise that ESPN/ABC is sending its A-List broadcast team to Tiger Stadium to be on the call.

Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be in the booth with Holly Rowe doing the sideline reporting. This will be the second Alabama game of the season that features the trio. They called Alabama's win over Georgia back in September.

The college football world has been sending its sympathies to Herbstreit the last 24 hours since he announced his beloved dog Ben passed away. Herbstreit is the consummate professional, however, and still managed to be on the call for the Ravens/Bengals game last night.

Alabama and LSU kick off at 6:30 CT on ABC.
