Another Alabama basketball season has come to a close, and this one seems to sting a little more than the others. The Crimson Tide were leading well early in the game, but suddenly stopped playing their game and lost it in the end.
Michigan just simply became too much to handle, especially their offense, led by Yaxel Lendeborg. Teams can hold Lendeborg off only for so long before he breaks out, and the second half was when he took off for the Wolverines.
Yaxel Lendeborg felt disrespected being guard by Alabama freshman Amari Allen
Early in the second half, Lendeborg hit a step-back three that unfortunately had Bama freshman Amari Allen on the ground. It was a great move by Lendeborg, but his reasoning for staying in the shooting pose after the ball went in was completely uncalled for.
"Honestly, I kinda felt a little disrespected having a freshman guarding me," Lendeborg said post-game. "I think that's the first time I've made somebody fall since like middle school."

Lendeborg's commetna bout being guarded by a freshman was compeltely un called for and frankly disrespectful towards Allen. Lendeborg talked about being disrespected, but Oats was simply trying to put his best defender on Lendeborg, and that so happened to be Allen, who is a freshman.
Insinuating that freshmen can't play well against older guys on the court is downright wrong. Let's look at the top players in the country, and most of them are freshmen. Just because a player is a freshman doesn't mean he isn't good enough to be playing against top competition.
If Lendeborg didn't want a freshman guarding him, he could have stayed in the NBA Draft process last season. Instead, he chose to come back to college basketball, which meant he would be playing against freshmen quite frequently.
