Alabama has built one of the most consistent cornerback pipelines in College Football.
Year after year, the Crimson Tide continues to produce defensive backs with size, athleticism, and coverage ability NFL teams covet most. From Patrick Surtain II and Marlon Humphrey to Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold, Alabama's secondary has become a proving ground for NFL evaluators and scouts searching for the next elite cornerback prospect.
Now, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Jordan Reid believes Zabien Brown has the traits to become the next Crimson Tide cornerback to hear his name called early in the 2027 draft.
ESPN NFL Draft analyst has high praise for Zabien Brown as one of college football's top CBs
I’m high on the upcoming CB class. Leonard Moore (Notre Dame) is a future top 10 pick. Robinson IV (Georgia) and Hampton (Clemson) are physical athletes. Jones (Miss. St) and Brown (Alabama) are savvy technicians. Swain (S. Carolina) and Frédérique Jr. (Miami) have potential.

Reid identified Brown as one of the cornerbacks that he is particularly high on in what is expected to be an upcoming class loaded with talent. Reid also described him as a "savy technician", highlighting the skill set that has already begun to separate him from many of his peers.
This recognition should come as no surprise to those who have watched Brown's development since arriving in Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot, 192-pounder entered Alabama as a 5-star prospect out of Mater Dei High School in the 2024 recruiting class, bringing with him the reputation of being one of the nation's premier cornerback talents.
Since then, Brown has quickly lived up to the billing, starting 28 games while recording five interceptions alongside 57 tackles, including 4.0 tackles for loss. His production and consistency earned him Freshman All-SEC honors and established him as one of the most dependable pieces in Alabama's defense.

-He can erase any WR in coverage and remains physical in the run
-Pair that with great instincts and high end athleticism and you get a dominant corner.
Wouldn't shock me to see him in the top 10-15 of the 2027… pic.twitter.com/eHezVux429
Now, entering his junior campaign in 2026, Brown has positioned himself as one of college football's most respected corners, continuing to refine his game while carrying the expectations that come with being the next potential NFL-caliber defensive back out of Tuscaloosa.
