Coach Nick Saban addressed the media in attendance after practice was held on Wednesday as the team continues preparation for Wisconsin. Let’s right to it because we all know that Saban is about to tell everyone which quarterback will get the start.
If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona that I can sell you.
Some injured players were back on the field so let’s get to see it and see what Coach had to say.
What in the world is going on with foot injuries? Someone put something in the water in Tuscaloosa and not tell anyone about it?
Saban announces QB Parker Barrineau cut his toe in a shower accident (hit it on a door), required surgery to "sew it backup."

Well if there was another injury, at least the news from practice will hopefully be a little upbeat. There goes that theory. Saban didn’t sound pleased with the outcome.
Saban: Today wasn't one of our better practices. Up until today I've been very pleased.

Excited to see Mullaney this season.
Saban: Richard Mullaney has great hands and is smart. Said he'll definitely be a contributor this year. Working out of the slot.

Alphonse Taylor getting a shout out from the head coach during the press conference. Saban also said he could see him starting some at the guard position and that he has been getting some work with the first-team.
Saban: G Alphonse Taylor has really improved, don't count him out as a starter.

This shouldn’t come as any surprise. Blake Sims worked with one last season and looked like a totally different quarterback from the A-Day game to the season.
Saban on QB coaches: It's helped these guys be successful. Most coaches who do this are good at what they do. It's been helpful to players.

Saban believes it's helpful for QBs to have private coaches in the offseason. "I think it's a good thing. It doesn't bother me."

Saban also mentioned Blake Barnett as looking good as well. He also said that Coker looked ok during the scrimmage on Saturday.
Saban: Alec Morris and Cooper Bateman did a nice job in the scrimmage.

Well, this got awkward. Don’t really know what is going on here. Cornwell only got a few snaps on Saturday and didn’t even get mentioned todau.
Rergarding #Bama QB picture. Saban mentioned four players, but not David Cornwell.

Saban also said re: the QBs: "We feel Blake [Barnett] is a young guy that we need to continue to try to develop" http://t.co/5uZ0SMYWNE

Drake and Black are still getting over injuries. Robinson sprained his shoulder. Can we give him some bubble wrap please?
Nick Saban said Kenyan Drake, Cam Robinson and Chris Black were in black, no-contact jerseys today.
