College GameDay is headed back to Tuscaloosa this weekend and we think
should be the guest picker.
Some Alabama fans aren’t thrilled with the guest pickers College GameDay has chosen for games in Tuscaloosa recently.
For Alabama vs. Wisconsin in Dallas Brad Paisley was the guest picker. GameDay was obviously helping him pitch his new song and album, and it would be interesting to see if money changed hands to secure that spot, but really that wasn’t so bad because it was in Dallas at Jerry World, not in Tuscaloosa.
For the Alabama vs. Ole Miss game this year Eric Church was selected as the guest picker… because GameDay loves country-pop apparently. Eric Church picked Alabama, but he still has nothing to do with Alabama and his wife is an Ole Miss fan.
These were just this year’s choices, GameDay has also had on MLB pitcher Brian Wilson as a guest picker in Tuscaloosa for an LSU game; BRIAN WILSON WENT TO LSU.
Sure GameDay did have on Joe Namath once, and he was by far the best guest picker Alabama has ever gotten. The average though is having on folks who are either against Alabama, or just have nothing to do with the Crimson Tide.
This is why we think we know who the GameDay picker this week should be… JAMES SPANN! James Spann is a damn treasure to the state of Alabama and don’t you dare say otherwise. James Spann is the weatherman for ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, but more than that, he’s Alabama’s Al Roker.
There is no one in Alabama who doesn’t love James Spann, he’s the guy who is there for you during tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, and when it snows a half inch. He gives you the information you need while comforting you like an old friend. Simply put, James Spann is the greatest weatherman to ever live.
Spann may have gone to Mississippi State, but he’s devoted his life to protecting Alabama from bad weather. He’s always been there for us during inclement weather, let’s be there for him!
More than that Spann loves the state of Alabama and Alabama loves James Spann, you think we are the only ones with this idea?
