What are the Numbers?

The above lists total 32 players. In addition, Alabama has a 2 or 3 more still being recruited in case slots become available.

Recruiting experts are projecting the Tide will sign 27 or 28. It is too early to predict how this will sort out. It is worthwhile to remember Alabama has plenty of experience in juggling numbers. SIgningDays have become relatively anti-climatic for Alabama the past few years.

There is one more weekend for official visits before the Dead Period begins on January 30th.

Next: Nick to the White House

For Tide fans wanting to read the recruiting tea leaves, we have no predictions. One thing you can be sure; over the next few days, several recruits will announce they are no longer considering the Tide. Many of them will make that decision because they understand Alabama does not have a slot for them. They will spin the decision to imply they gave up on the Tide. Mostly it will be the Tide giving up on them.

Whatever the result with the remaining open slots, 2017 NSD will be very good for Alabama.
